ABOUT SWEETLIFE FESTIVAL

Since the very first sweetgreen opened in 2007, music has been a core component of the brand’s culture. The idea for the sweetlife festival began as a small, local event. In 2010, with the opening of their second location in Dupont Circle (Washington, D.C.), the three founders invited a handful of local, indie bands to perform in the parking lot. What started as a 500-person gathering has blossomed into one of the region’s largest and most anticipated music and food festivals, a two-stage event with over 23,000 attendees in one of the most famous amphitheatres in the country. Proceeds from sweetlife support “sweetgreen in schools,” an educational program created by sweetgreen to introduce kids to the benefits of healthy eating and nutrition.
