Swift Water Rescuers Return To HoCo From North Carolina
The rescue teams from the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services are back after helping with the response to Florence.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Swift water rescuers from Howard County have returned from assisting in North Carolina, according to the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. The HoCo team spent more than a week helping those impacted by Florence, a storm that has been blamed for more than 30 deaths.
Nine members of the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services were part of the swift water rescue team that left Sunday, Sept. 16, for North Carolina.
"The team handled many assignments, including assisting the Red Cross," the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services reported on Wednesday, Sept. 26. "We are happy to report that they made it home safely!"
