Symphony Of Lights Turns Merriweather Post Pavilion Into Wonderland
More than 300,000 bulbs and a giant 150-foot screen sets the scene for a magical holiday experience at the annual Symphony of Lights.

HOWARD COUNTY, MD ā The annual Symphony of Lights kicks off Nov. 23 in Howard County. For more than 25 years, the light display at Merriweather Post Pavilion has dazzled visitors with its larger-than-life animated and stationary holiday light creations consisting of more than 300,000 bulbs. Each year, new displays are added.
Symphony of Lights will run from Nov. 23 through Jan. 1. There is the drive-thru option and a walk-thru option.
Hours are weekdays 6 to 10 p.m. and weekends 5 to 10 p.m.

The site will be closed Nov. 26-29 and Dec 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 31.
Tickets are $25 per vehicle. Military Nights are Thursdays, whic mean $10 off with a valid military ID; only available at the entrance.

Festive Families allows families to walk through the display with strollers, wagons and backpacks. For Tail Lights, dogs must be leashed and festive costumes are encouraged. Lit at the Lights offers beer and cocktail samples, entertainment and food trucks.
Midnight at 7 on New Year's Eve includes food trucks, live music and fireworks at 7.

- A portion of proceeds benefit HoCo General Hospital
- No limos, buses or dual axle vehicles are allowed
- The drive through line starts at the intersection of Hickory Ridge Rd and Broken Land Pkwy
- All events occur rain or snow
