Teen Charged With Murder In Man's Shooting Death: Police
A 15-year-old Columbia teen has been arrested and charged with first- and second-degree murder in the shooting death of a 36-year-old man.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A teenage boy has been arrested in connection to the Oct. 7 shooting death of Rakki Miguel Jones-Onyejiaka, 36.
Officers were called to the 10400 block of Hickory Ridge Road in Columbia at 8:17 p.m. Oct. 7 for a report about a man who had been shot in the parking lot. They found Jones-Onyejiaka dead, according to the Howard County Police Department.
Through investigation, detectives identified a 15-year-old male from Columbia as the suspect and learned his family members were engaged in an ongoing dispute with Jones-Onyejiaka, the police department disclosed.

The juvenile was arrested Oct. 13 in the area of Gulf Stream Row in Columbia and has been charged as an adult with first- and second-degree murder, assault and handgun violations. He cannot be identified under Maryland law until there is a decision from the court to confirm that he will remain in the adult court system.
