Toys R Us Gift Cards To Expire Before Maryland Stores Close
Gift cards will no longer be accepted at Toys R Us or Babies R Us stores in Maryland and across the U.S. after the deadline.

MARYLAND — As liquidation sales continue at many Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores before they shutter, those looking to use their gift cards will want to shop sooner rather than later. Saturday is the final day that Toys R Us and Babies R Us gift cards will be accepted at stores.
The final day to use Endless Earnings e-gift cards for registries at Babies R Us will also be Saturday, April 21.
Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.

In addition, gift cards and e-gift cards cannot be used at the stores' online e-commerce sites, which were shut down recently as part of Toys R Us' "winding down" its U.S. operations. See all the details on the company's Toys R Us closing frequently asked questions page.
Last month the company announced that it would be "winding down" operations in preparation to sell or close 735 stores across the U.S. That includes liquidating its inventory and holding going-out-of-business sales.

The sales are slated to be completed by the end of June.

The company started the year with more than 800 Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores across the country. In January, Toys R Us said it would close 180 locations, including a store in Clinton, Maryland.
Then, the New Jersey-based company announced March 15 that it would sell or close all of its 735 U.S. stores.
Liquidation sales are currently going on at every store that is still open. Some Babies R Us stores have already closed.
