Two Afternoon Robberies Reported On Footpaths: Columbia Crime
The Dollar Store was burglarized, pizza deliveryman robbed of pie and more crimes were reported out of Columbia this week.

COLUMBIA, MD — The Howard County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in Columbia. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Two 16-year-old Columbia boys were charged with robbery related to a footpath encounter. Police said the juveniles assaulted a pedestrian in the 5500 block of Cedar Lane just before 12:30 p.m. on April 10. They allegedly demanded money and when he refused, they assaulted him and took his wallet. Police identified the suspects through investigation and arrested the juveniles.
The Dollar Store in the 7100 block of Cradlerock Way was burglarized between April 9 and 10. It was not known how the burglar got inside. Cash was stolen.

A man was robbed at gunpoint on a footpath on Harpers Farm at Eliots Oak roads. Two teens approached the pedestrian when one showed a gun and ordered him to surrender his belongings. The suspects took the man's cell phone and ear buds, then assaulted him. No serious injuries were reported in the robbery, which happened at approximately 2:45 p.m. on April 8.
A pizza was stolen from a deliveryman in the 5300 block of Columbia Road. The robber had his face partly covered when he approached the delivery person and assaulted him, then made off with the pizza before 11:30 p.m. on April 7. There were no serious injuries.

Several vehicles were entered in the 9000 block of Early April Way between April 7 and 8. It was not clear what was stolen.
A 2009 Hyundai Sonata was stolen from the 9700 block of Summer Park Court, reported at 9:45 a.m. on April 9.
A 2013 Honda Civic with Maryland registration 4EWJ50 was stolen from the 10500 block of Faulkner Ridge Circle. The theft was reported at approximately 6 a.m. on Apr. 7.
