The “Dear Jerry” tribute to the late Jerry Garcia in Columbia Thursday night kicks off the 50th anniversary celebration of the Grateful Dead.

The May 14 show was scheduled to run from 7 to 11 p.m., broken up into two sets, producer Keith Wortman told Relix Magazine.

Among the performers: Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann’s Billy & the Kids, Bob Weir, Allen Toussaint, Bruce Hornsby, Buddy Miller, David Grisman, Eric Church, Jimmy Cliff, Los Lobos, moe., O.A.R., Peter Frampton, Railroad Earth, Disco Biscuits, Trampled by Turtles, Widespread Panic and Yonder Mountain String Band, according to Merriweather Post Pavilion.

“There’ll be some very unique sit-ins and duets and collaborations,” Wortman said. There were several live streams for following the show from home.

A few months from now, the four surviving members of the Grateful Dead—Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir—will reunite for a 50th anniversary tour called “Fare Thee Well.

The tour begins at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., on June 27 and 28; the second set of performances will be at Chicago’s Soldier Field July 3 to 5.
