Weather Delay for Howard County Public Schools

All Howard County public schools will open two hours late on Monday, Feb. 23.

Here is the announcement from the Howard County Public School System:

All Howard County public schools will open 2 hours late Monday, February 23. All morning sessions of half-day Pre-K and RECC are canceled.

All morning child care programs, sponsored by the Columbia Association and the Department of Recreation & Parks in Howard County public schools, will be delayed 2 hours.

The Maryland Transportation Authority said that there is potential for icy spots on the roads Monday morning. Officials advised people to be cautious and take their time walking to their vehicles.

Columbia Association Schedule Change

• No classes, programs or activities will be held before 10:45 a.m.
• Before-school program will be delayed two hours.
• KidSpace will make every effort to open at 9 a.m. Please call the facility ahead to ensure proper staffing.
