Weis Opens Friday in Columbia
The former Food Lion in Oakland Mills has reopened as a Weis supermarket.
COLUMBIA, MD — The Oakland Mills Food Lion, which has been closed for rebranding, reopened under the Weis banner on Friday, Sept. 23.
The Columbia supermarket was among 38 former Food Lion stores sold to Weis over the summer in a deal that spanned Maryland, Virginia and Delaware. Weis has been reopening the stores gradually, with the goal of having all changed over to Weis by the end of October.
In addition to the Columbia store, former Food Lions in Elkridge, Gaithersburg and Mitchelville were rolled out as Weis markets on Friday, Sept. 23, the company said in a statement.

Stores in Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Eldersburg, Cumberland and Frostburg opened as Weis markets on Friday, Sept. 16.
The Oakland Mills Weis is located at 5896 Robert Oliver Place in Columbia. Hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
