Woman Robbed, Two Businesses Burglarized In 2-Day Span: Howard County Police

Two businesses were burglarized and a woman reported being robbed in a two-day span in Ellicott City, according to Howard County Police.

ELLICOTT CITY, MD — A woman was robbed and two businesses burglarized in a two-day span in Ellicott City recently, according to police.

A woman told Howard County Police that she was approached by a man who stole her cash before running off. The incident happened July 14 around 8:40 p.m. in the 10000 block of of Baltimore National Pike. No one was injured, police reported.

Smyth Jewelers reported being broken into July 13 around 1:55 a.m. The business, located in the 11000 block of Resort Road. The suspect(s) entered the business by breaking a rear door. Jewelry was stolen, according to Howard County Police.

Bumble Auto also reported being broken into July 14 around 3:15 a.m. The suspect(s) gained access to the business by breaking the front glass door. Nothing was reported stolen from the business, which is located in the 3200 block of Bethany Lane, police said.
