Violence In Public Places: HoCo Police Hosting Community Workshop

Concern over recent episodes of workplace violence in the state prompted the Howard County Police Department to offer a new training.

FULTON, MD — The Howard County Police Department is hosting an event this week on violence in public spaces. Officials said they were organizing the event following requests after the shootings at The Capital in Annapolis and Rite Aid in Harford County this year.

The free event will cover potential hazards, safety tips and best practices for both management and workers in general. It will deal with how to address acts of violence in places of worship,

The event will be live-streamed, the Howard County Police Department reported on its Facebook page.
