2 Crofton Residents Die In Crash, Alcohol Suspected: Police
Anne Arundel County Police say two Crofton residents died when their car was struck by a speeding car whose driver may have been drunk.

CROFTON, MD — Two Crofton residents died early Saturday when their car was reportedly struck by a speeding Dodge Charger driven by a Prince George's County man suspected of drunk driving, authorities say.
The fatal crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. on northbound Crain Hwy (MD-3) and Wellfleet Lane in Crofton. A Dodge Charger was northbound on Crain Highway when a 2012 Nissan Altima attempted cross Rt-3 and was struck in the passenger side door, then pushed into a tree and pole.
Anne Arundel County Police say the driver of the Charger — Reginald Donovan Dunn, 24, Clinton — was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma with serious injuries.

The two occupants of the Altima were declared dead at the scene and their bodies were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for autopsy. Police say the driver of the Nissan was Marcus Nicholas Spriggs, 26, of the 1900 block of Cambridge Drive in Crofton, and his passenger was Jasmine Lee Mastin, 25, of the 2000 block of Choptank Road in Middle River.
The primary cause of the crash is still under investigation, but speed and alcohol use by Dunn are suspected as contributing factors. The Traffic Safety Section is handing the crash investigation and charges, if any, will be after review by the State’s Attorney.
