CROFTON, MD — Three Crofton businesses were honored Friay by Anne Arundel County Police for their support of officers working for hours at an accident. The businesses were presented with "Chief Awards" signed by Police Chief Timothy Altomare for their continued support of officers.

Last week, Western District officers were called to the scene of a fatal motorcycle crash at Route 3 and Carver Road. Traffic investigators and officers working the perimeter directing traffic were on scene for a very long time, without relief. The department says these businesses graciously provided food and snacks for the officers:

  • Chick-fil-A of Crofton
  • Krispy Kreme of Crofton
  • Vocelli Pizza of Crofton

"We are so very appreciative of the support and thoughtfulness shown by these businesses. Thank you!" the department posted on its Facebook page.
