3 Crofton Restaurants Plus Gambrills Phone Store Robbed

Burglars broken into 3 Crofton restaurants, plus an AT&T store in Gambrills, early Thursday morning, police say.

CROFTON, MD — In just over an hour early Thursday, Anne Arundel County Police say four Crofton and Gambrills businesses were burglarized. Police responded to alarms at the locations along Route 3 between 3:20 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.

Investigators say ATMs were stolen at two eateries, while a cash box was tampered with at another. The businesses that were broken into are:

  • AT&T, 1407 Main Chapel Way, Gambrills: The front door was pried open. Business owners have not yet determined what, if anything, was stolen.
  • Wendy’s, 1064 Route 3, Crofton: The front door was pried open and a cash box was tampered with. Police say it is unknown if anything was stolen.
  • The Big Fish Grill, 1260 Route 3, Crofton: Thieves pried open the front door and stole an ATM.
  • Fat Boy’s Crab Shack, 1651 Route 3, Crofton: Burglars again pried open the front door and stole an ATM.

Investigators believe the break-ins are related because of the similarities among the crimes. Detectives said they will release suspect descriptions when they are available.
