4 Teens Charged With Robbing Crofton Pharmacy

3 teens from Washington, DC, and one from Prince George's County are charged as adults with robbing a Crofton pharmacy, police say.

CROFTON, MD — Three teenagers from Washington, DC, and one youth from Prince George's County are charged as adults with robbing a Crofton pharmacy, police say. Their ages range from 16 to 18 years old. The robbery was reported shortly after 2 a.m. March 24 at the CVS store at 2003 Davidsonville Road in Crofton.

A store clerk told Anne Arundel County Police that three robbers wearing masks demanded prescription medication. Once the clerk complied, the suspects fled the store. Multiple officers searched the area, a vehicle was stopped and its four occupants were detained. During a search of the vehicle, officers reportedly found prescription medication, two handguns, and clothing worn by the suspects during the robbery.

All four occupants were arrested and charged as adults with robbery. They are:

  • Sean Michael Smart, 17, of the 2100 block of H St. NE in Washington, D.C.
  • Samuel Amiri Lamorell, 17, of the 60o block of Edgewood St. NE in Washington, D.C.
  • Derrick Tirrell Banks, 16, of the 5060 block of Benning Rd SE in Washington, D.C.
  • Gerard Marcel Gaffney, 18, of the 4404 28th Place in Mount Rainier
