6th Annual Crofton Farmers Market Chili Cook-off Wednesday

CROFTON, MD — The 6th Annual Crofton Farmers Market Chili Cook-off benefiting the Crofton Food Bank will be Wednesday. Attendees are encouraged to make a $5 donation or contribute a non-perishable food item at the cook-off then enjoy samples of each chili starting at 4:30 p.m. Votes will be cast for the People's Choice Award.

Chili entries will be judged by the event's panel of gourmands at 6 p.m. to decide who wins the 2020 Crofton Chili Cook-Off Champion title. Awards will be distributed at 6:45 p.m. Participation in the contest is free for entrants. The event will be held at the Crofton Farmers' Market, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

The event, sponsored by the Crofton Kiwanis Club, benefits the Crofton Christian Caring Council's Food Pantry, which provides food to families in need and the homeless. They provide thousands of bags of groceries to more than 1,000 households in the Greater Crofton and Odenton areas.
