Amanda Hagerman Jewelry Looks Back and Gives Thanks

At Amanda Hagerman’s jewelry studio they take time during the holiday season to look back at the year and give thanks as well as finding joy in the upcoming season. One of the things Amanda is particularly grateful for is being a small, independent art/craft-based entrepreneur. She encourages people to support local businesses, “Family run craft businesses have been around as long as there has been a civilization and we form the backbone of our society. We also are the heart and soul of our local communities.”

Amanda’s Ancient Chic Adornment collection is made in her Maryland studio. She celebrates the fact that she is an active member of her local community as well as being part of the larger national jewelry/art world. It is also imperative to her to have a peaceful studio environment to create her hand-crafted jewelry and the beauty of Maryland provides a constant design inspiration.

This coming holiday season you can see Amanda’s work at the following local venues:

• The Junior League 58th Annual Holiday Shops at Union Market, Washington, DC - Nov. 18-20
• 12th Annual Downtown Holiday Shops, Washington, DC - Nov. 25-27
• Christkindlmarkt at Heurich House Museum, Washington, DC - Dec. 3rd

And this winter she will be launching her Ancient Chic Adornment collection at two national wholesale craft shows, the American Craft Council Show in Baltimore and the American Craft Retailers Exposition in Philadelphia to sell to stores and galleries from around the United States.
