Anne Arundel Curbside Collections Delayed, School Meals Canceled
The Anne Arundel Department of Health coronavirus testing clinics and county library buildings and services are canceled for Tuesday.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Tuesday’s curbside collection services has been postponed until Wednesday in Anne Arundel County due to the arrival of Tropical Storm Isaias. The National Hurricane Center currently forecasts the storm to pass through Maryland Tuesday morning bringing the potential for tropical storm-force winds, a two-foot storm surge and as much as six inches of rain to Anne Arundel County.
The county department of public works asks residents to limit wastewater discharge during and immediately after the storm to minimize the flow through the public wastewater system. In the event of a widespread power outage that would limit the ability to pump or treat water, the public works department encourages residents to draw and store water for drinking, hygiene and toilets. The county's emergency operations center will be partially activated Tuesday at 7 a.m. in anticipation of the heavy rains and strong winds expected to be produced by Tropical Storm Isaias.
