Armed Robber Holds Up Waugh Chapel Business

CROFTON, MD — A robber armed with a handgun held up the GNC store at Waugh Chapel Friday, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The robbery was reported about 2 p.m. at GNC, located in the 1300 block of Main Chapel Way.

Police say a man with a handgun entered the business and demanded cash from the employee and customer. The robber then grabbed a purse from a woman who was a customer and fled. Officers searched the area with help from the police K9 unit, but didn't find the suspect.

No injuries were reported in the robbery.
