Arrests Tie Suspects to 14 Cases of Theft from Cars: Police

Two Baltimore men stopped early Monday in the Crofton area reportedly had stolen GPS units, cell phones, jewelry and more.

CROFTON, MD — Stolen property from at least a dozen residents in the Crofton area was found inside a car stopped early Monday, police say.

An Anne Arundel County Police officer made a traffic stop about 4 a.m. near Nantucket Drive and Eastham Court in Crofton. The initial traffic stop was for an equipment and moving violation.

But police say the officer saw several electronic items inside the vehicle, and suspected the car’s occupants were stealing from vehicles, a crime that is on the rise across the county.

The driver was subsequently arrested for traffic-related offenses.

Inside the vehicle, police found property including GPS units, cell phones, women’s jewelry, and credit/prepaid cards credit cards.

Investigators say the property was stolen and to date, about 14 victims have been identified from the Crofton/Riedel Road area of Anne Arundel County.

Suspect Garry Kewan Holloway, 22, of 3917 Cranson Ave. in Baltimore, was charged with theft and rogue and vagabond.

Police charged Christian Rashad Early, 23, of Appleton Street in Baltimore, with theft and rogue and vagabond.
