Change your Mind Change your Body
Positive thinking, Law of Attraction, Mind body connection

Ever heard of "Law of Attraction?" In life we have the ability to create our own reality. The mind truly is a powerful thing. We are a direct reflexion of what we think about. If you want to get healthy, start thinking healthy thoughts. You want to lose weight, picture yourself losing weight. You want tone legs, picture your legs the way you want them to look. Run that 5k, see yourself crossing the finish line. You want to fit in those skinny jeans....start thinking about how easy it is to throw on those jeans. Picture yourself doing these things, what you would look like? How you feel crossing the finish line? You preparing healthy meals?
This concept of positive thinking has really challenged me lately. I can honestly say that I have to work on this daily....the glass is always half full in my world! I keep telling myself. There is always a positive and a negative side to everything...so if your gonna think you might as well make it worth your while and think good thoughts.
So many of use tend to focus on the bad but really over look the good. I make it a point to wake up every morning and be grateful of the life that I have. I actually take a gratitude inventory so to speak. OK, now say it with me, I am grateful for...my health, my loving family, that I have the opportunity to help change peoples lives, that I love what I do, that the sun is shining...the list is endless. Pay gratitude and you will realize that you are fortunate. You have a wonderful life and many more days filled with new experiences.

One thing I do personally is write down positive affirmations of what I aspire too. I have post its all over my mirror in my bathroom reminding me to stay in the moment and think positive thoughts. Things like "I am mentally and physically strong, " "I have so much energy", "I am committed to eating healthy," "I create my reality," "I workout everyday." Anything that will be a constant reminder of what you want. By doing things like this you are over time changing the way you think and this is the first steps to changing the mind body connection.
If your stuck take out a pen and paper and think about the things you don't want. This usually comes very easy to people...now when you are done switch the wording around to create a positive statement. It is just that easy. Read through your list and write these key phrases on sticky notes. Post them around the house were you will see them and read them daily. This really works. I know it sounds strange but trust me. Think of it this way what do you have to lose. If you keep doing the same things in life over and over and expect a different result than your getting maybe it is time to try something new. Good Luck and let me know how it goes.
