Eat more to lose weight....hmmm this is such a foreign concept to so many individuals. So you want to lose weight, you are committed to getting in shape by the time you have to put that tiny little bikini on....what do you do? Well if you are like most you think I have to go on a DIET. I have to eat nothing but rabbit food to lose those last pesky annoying pounds just hanging on to you for dear life.
What if I told you eating MORE will actually get the job done. Yes I did say more. Let me explain. Most people do not eat enough to allow there bodies to function properly let alone lose weight and when they starve themselves they risk eating away muscle which in turn slows your metabolism. Not what you want to do in order to lose weight. So when I say eat more...I mean more frequent smaller meals...every couple of hours. You want to get some form of lean protein source frequently to keep your blood sugar stable and cravings away.
So what to eat and what not to eat is the question? First things first get ALL sugar out of the diet....everything...read every label if it looks like sugar do not even put that in your gorcery basket or your mouth. Say No to high fructose corn syrup, no brown rice syrups, no fructose, no sugar period. Second drink, drink, drink a lot of water. I personally drink a gallon a day. This will help with detoxing your body, give you energy, curb cravings and as a bonus helps clear your skin. Now what to eat? Lots of veggies (fresh, canned, frozen), limited fruits, lots of lean meats, moderate amounts of brown rice, oats (no not with brown sugar on them or in those flavored packets), potatoes, and some healthy fats, nuts, seeds. This should keep you busy clearing out the kitchen. FYI Tip get anything bad out of the house. If it is not there you are not tempted to eat it. I live by this tip. I know myself well enough that if there is ice cream in the freezer I will want to eat it, not just 1 serving but several. Lesson if you don't have it near you, you will not be tempted.
