Is what you're eating before bed adding to your waistline?

What are the best foods to eat before bed?

I want to start by saying you should never go to been hungry. Now this does not give you a free pass to eat whatever you want before bed...especially not sugar. Not only will you add to your waistline but you will not sleep from the sugar high you are on all night not to mention the bags under your eyes when you wake up. Not so pretty :(

As I am writing this it is about 9:30 at night and I am eating my last snack before off to bed....so what am I eating? Guess...well tonight it is non-fat plain greek yogurt with a little agave nectar swirled in. Can you say yummy!

Now in my opinion the best options before you slumber would be egg whites...I know boring...but I think we all need to stop looking to food as comfort that is going to help fill an emotional void in our lives and start looking at food as medicine that we have to have in order to live and feel good daily. It is time to change our relationships with food. Other options veggies, plain greek yogurt, cottage cheese, 1 sccop protein shake, and I even recommend if you have a hard time falling asleep a little old fashioned plain Oats with help you sleep through the night.
