With warmer weather sprouts a few local race options. Consider getting yourself out there for both your own physical benefit and to benefit the causes associated with the events.
Here are two Crofton Races coming up in June:
Trek4Tech 5k: June 4th. Crofton Middle School will be raising funds to increase technology in the classrooms. The race will be held at Crofton Park. You have the option of running a 5k or the one mile fun run. I have not run the race course, but have often run the paved trail and trail spurs to the athletic fields. Lots of twists, turns, ups and downs will keep the course interesting. And the mostly softer footing will keep the legs happy. The website includes a map of the course.

Kiwanis 10k Race: June 11th. A true staple in our community. This year will mark the 23rd running of the event. Although the website calls the course "mostly flat", having run it myself a couple times, I would call it tougher than average. But, we have the advantage of being somewhat accustomed to the hilly terrain and newbies can walk the hills.

If you know of any more Crofton area races, let me know.
The Annapolis Striders do a good job covering the county, and then some, if you are looking for more adventure!
