Cause of Crofton Fire Under Investigation
A fire at a vacant building in Crofton is under investigation; no dollar loss has been established.

CROFTON, MD — Authorities continue their work to determine what caused a fire in a vacant Crofton building, reported on Saturday afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m., Anne Arundel County firefighters were called to a building fire on the southbound lanes of Route 3 south of Cronson Boulevard. The two-story vacant building had fire on its rear porch; the blaze was extinguished in about 10 minutes by firefighters from Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties.
Significant damage occurred on both the first and second floor and attic area of the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Anne Arundel County Fire and Explosive Investigations Unit, and no dollar loss has been established.
No injuries were reported, the fire department said.
