Chick-fil-A Celebrates Grand Opening With Road Trip
The restaurant chain takes 100 lucky fans on a journey Tuesday around the Crofton area.

CROFTON, MD — A new Chick-fil-A restaurant celebrated its grand opening Wednesday in Crofton. But on Tuesday, the fried chicken chain treated 100 lucky Chick-fil-A fans to a road trip around the area to promote the grand opening.
At the crack of dawn, more than 150 people gathered at the restaurant, according to a Chick-fil-A spokeswoman. The 100 road trip participants were chosen in a raffle, and after enjoying breakfast in the new eatery, they set off, making their first stop at Vuong's Taekwondo and Fitness Center, where they learned how to break wooden boards with their bare hands.
At their next stop, the participants visited the Anne Arundel Food Bank to pack 10,000 meals for Feeding Children Everywhere, a Florida-based charity.
