Cops Turn Waiters for Special Olympics Fundraiser

The Tip-A-Cop event Satuday at the Gambrills and Annapolis Red Robin restaurants will benefit Maryland Special Olympics.

Join the Anne Arundel County Police Department for the #TipACop fundraiser this weekend at the Red Robin restaurants in Gambrills and Annapolis.

Police officers will be serving food from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Law enforcement officers will trade their ticket books for order pads and serve guests alongside Red Robin’s wait staff, with tips benefitting Special Olympics Maryland, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports events for Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

The ninth annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser is part of a national campaign by Special Olympics, Red Robin and law enforcement to raise funds for local Special Olympics programs.
