Crofton 7-Eleven, Exxon Station Robbed By Same Man?

Anne Arundel County Police are searching for a man who may have robbed a 7-Eleven store and an Exxon station in Crofton.

CROFTON, MD — Investigators say it's possible the same man robbed both the 7-Eleven store at 2046 Davidsonville Road in Crofton and held up the Exxon station at 1276 Route 3 South about 20 minutes later early Thursday. Anne Arundel County Police say the suspect in both robberies is described as a black man, 5’10”, with a thin build, wearing dark clothing.

The 7-Eleven store was robbed at 3:58 a.m. by a man with a handgun who demanded money from the cash register. After the clerk turned over the cash, the robber ran from the store.

At 4:19 a.m. police were called to a robbery at the Exxon station, where the clerk told officers that a man with a handgun demanded money from the register. The robber fled with cash.

Officers searched both areas with help from K9 units and a helicopter, but no suspects were located.

No injuries were reported by the clerks in either case.
