Crofton Student-Athlete Receives Multiple Honors

Anne Arundel Community College names Mary Milligan as an Athlete of Distinction and an All-American.

Mary Milligan of Crofton was recently recognized by Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) for being an Athlete of Distinction and lacrosse All-American.

Milligan earned a 3.79 GPA for the spring semester for Exemplary Academic Achievement, according to a press release from AACC.

  • Lacrosse Magazine’s Preseason Player of the Year for two-year schools.
  • Earned the All-American title in women’s lacrosse for a second consecutive year.
  • As a midfielder, she led the nation in total points with 115 and was third in goals scored (81) and fourth in assists (34).
  • She also was on the college’s cross country team where she ranked as the 10th fastest 5K runner in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference.
