Crofton Boy Charged With Sex Offenses: Police

Investigators say the 14-year-old groped a female victim and then exposed himself to her.

CROFTON, MD — A 14-year-old Crofton boy faces sex offense charges after he reportedly groped a female and then exposed himself to her, police said.

The assault was reported Dec. 5 in the area of Happy Lane and Aberdeen Court after the boy went to the victim’s house asking for help contacting his parents. Once the victim allowed the boy into her home, he touched her breast and genital and then exposed himself, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The victim fled her residence and called 911; the boy also ran away.

Once detectives identified the suspect as a 14-year old boy from Crofton they executed a search warrant at his residence. Investigators reportedly found evidence linking the juvenile to the sex offense.

The suspect was arrested and charged Thursday on a juvenile citation with fourth-degree sex offense, indecent exposure, and second-degree assault.
