Crofton Sex Offender Indicted for Child Porn Production, Cyberstalking

A Crofton sex offender recently released from prison is charged with enticing a 13-year-old girl to engage in sex acts and threatening her.

CROFTON, MD — A Crofton sex offender recently released from prison is charged with enticing a 13-year-old girl to engage in sex acts and threatening to post the explicit photos online. Authorities say the suspect also threatened to kill the girl and her family.

A federal grand jury on May 23 indicted Piere Ceradoy, 36, of Crofton, for production and advertisement of child pornography, coercion and enticement, cyberstalking, transfer of obscene material, and for engaging in this conduct while a registered sex offender. He was ordered to be detained following a hearing held on May 25, according to a news release.

According to the seven-count indictment, and information presented at the detention hearing, Ceradoy met a minor victim on social networking apps in the spring of 2016, within months of being released from prison in Washington for his conviction on attempted sexual exploitation of a minor.

The victim told Ceradoy she was 13, and Ceradoy immediately initiated sexually explicit discussions. Ceradoy enticed the victim to engage in sex acts, and received videos and photos of the victim engaged in these acts. Authorities say that during the exchanges he threatened to post the explicit photos on the internet and to send them to the victim’s family.

If he is convicted, Ceradoy faces decades in prison for the various crimes, with a maximum life sentence possible for the coercion and enticement charges. If convicted and later released from prison, he would also spend the rest of his life on supervised release.
