Crofton Water Main Break Prompts Call to Conserve Use
County officials say residents Crofton, Odenton, Jessup and Maryland City should only use water for essential purposes.

CROFTON, MD — Residents in several communities are being asked to cut back their water usage while crews repair a water main at the Crofton Meadows II water treatment plant.
The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works has issued a voluntary water use restriction for customers in the Crofton, Odenton, Jessup, and Maryland City areas.
Crews are working to repair a 42-inch water supply main at the Crofton plant.

Water production at the plant will be reduced and public water customers in these areas are asked to avoid non-essential water uses until further notice to reduce the demand on the water supply.
The repair work is isolated to the Crofton Meadows II Water Treatment Plant and will not affect traffic, officials said.
