
If you're up early and looking for something to do this weekend there's plenty to choose from. Get your pet ready to pose and take photographs with Santa or get into the holiday spirit at one of several free festive elementary school activities taking place on Saturday morning.
-Crofton Elementary School is holding a Holly Jolly Workshop Saturday morning from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. This PTA sponsored event is a fun-filled morning where families can come to play games, sing holiday songs, let the kids get their face painted and allow their creativity flow by making a festive craft. There will also be a free continental breakfast. Suppplies and activities will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
-Crofton Meadows Elementary Schools PTA is sponsoring a Winter Festival on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Santa Claus will make an appearance at this annual event which will include carriage rides, crafts, a silent auction, basket raffle, kids gift shop, food and drinks. Admission is free.

-Bring the family pet to the Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church for Pet Pictures with Santa on Sunday from 3 - 5. The church is asking for a $5 donation with proceeds benefiting the SPCA (The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). This event is part of the youth group's Pay-It-Forward Program.
-Faith Community Church on Riedel Road is holding a Ladies Ensemble Christmas Buffet and Concert Saturday evening at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 and the concert will begin at 7:20 p.m. The attire is 'Sunday best' and tickets cost $15 per person.
