Driver Thrown From Car In Millersville Accident: Police

Two people were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, one with life-threatening injuries, after a Millersville car crash, police say.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — Two people were taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, one with life-threatening injuries, after a Millersville car crash Saturday night, Anne Arundel County Fire officials say. The single-vehicle accident happened in the area of I-97 South and Route 32 West.

Emergency responders found a car had rolled over several times and struck a tree. The driver, a man estimated to be in his 30s, was thrown from the vehicle, fire department officials said.

Paramedics took the man to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with critical, possibly life-threatening injuries. His passenger, a 27-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was also taken to Shock Trauma for treatment.

Authorities have not released the names of the crash victims, or said what might have caused the accident.
