Expert Help, August 20: Protect Your Identity

Wes Adams of the A. A. County State's Attorney's Office will speak and teach on how to protect yourself against identity theft.

Identity theft is a serious crime that can wreak havoc on your finances, ruin your credit history and tarnish your reputation.  As a consumer, there are steps to take to recognize and decrease your risk for identity theft.  Mr. Adams will touch on: what is identity theft? How it happens and ways to reduce your risk of identity theft and phishing scams.  Identity theft  warning signs.  What to do if it happens to you!
