Man Suffered Gunshot Wounds In Gambrills Assault: Update

GAMBRILLS, MD — A man is hospitalized with serious injuries after an assault in the Gambrills area, and Anne Arundel County Police are asking for tips that lead investigators to the attacker. Police on Sunday morning said that while the victim was being treated at an area hospital, it was determined his injuries were caused by gunshot wounds. The wounds were to his upper and lower body and he is expected to survive his injuries.

Police were called about 12:45 p.m. Thursday to a powerline access area off Johns Hopkins Road with a report that someone had been hurt. Officers found a man who had been injured and he was taken to a hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

There is no additional information and detectives are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the assault. Detectives believe this was a targeted incident.
