Meet the Author: Elaine Allen

The (CRCC) is holding their 2nd Annual Book Lovers Auction on November 12 in Crofton. MD at the Banquet Room from 4-7 pm. This is to raise funds for a community center in Crofton, MD.  

Elaine Ann Allen grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland along with a large loving family and many pets. With a background in environmental studies, Elaine has published two children's books about oysters including, Olly the Oyster Cleans the Bay and Olly's Treasure. Elaine became inspired to write about oysters when she learned that sea animals actively clean the sand and water and play a valuable role in the environment. Her next book, Mallory the Forgetful Duck, is about waterfowl on the bay and is scheduled for release in the spring of 2012. The CRCC is a non-profit, tax-free organization. At the same time in the outside parking lot, there will be a free Children's Festival and an antique car show.
