UPDATE: Both Missing Crofton Girls Found

Maria Smiroldo​, 16, was found Sunday, and Gabrielle Andrea Bishop​, 17, was found Monday night.

(Updated at 9:52 p.m. Monday) CROFTON, MD —Both of the two teenage girls missing from Crofton since early Tuesday morning have been found safe, according to sources.

On Thursday afternoon, a father of one of the girls posted to Facebook asking for help. Maria Michelle Smiroldo, 16, and Gabrielle Andrea Bishop, 17, were last seen at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at 1670 Wilkshire Drive, police say. On Sunday, a website working with the family said that Gabby was found and is safe, but that Maria is still missing and has the dark blue Jeep Compass the girls left town in.

As of Monday night, both Maria and Gabrielle were found safe with family, a source told Patch.

Police suspected the girls ran away to New York, yet a source told Patch Monday morning that Gabby was found with family in Iowa.

The source said Maria was last seen in Iowa and possibly headed to Arizona. Maria has connections in Arizona, the source said.

"These two girls, one is my daughter Gabby and her friend are missing since Tuesday morning early when they took off. Driving a dark blue/grey Jeep Compass Md tags 6CR0847," Jimmy Bishop, the father of Gabrielle posted to the Crofton Patch Facebook page last week..

Police said there are no suspicious or critical factors in the girls' disappearance apart from their age.
