Q&A: Crofton Middle 'Music Man' Star Paul Tortora
Paul Tortora, 14, plays Marcellus Washburn in Crofton Middle School's presentation of "The Music Man."

"The Music Man" will debut at Crofton Middle School on March 8 and in preparation for the show Patch caught up with several members of the cast.
Eighth-grader Paul Tortora, spoke with Patch about the show and why you should make sure you have tickets.
Crofton Patch: What is your character or role in the production?
Paul Tortora: I play the character Marcellus Washburn, who is the comical best friend of the main character, Harold Hill.

Crofton Patch: What is your favorite part of the show or why should people come see it?
Paul: My favorite part of The Music Man is actually my friend Colleen Roy's role as Eulalie Shinn who is the mayor's wife. Of course, I also like my number "Shipoopi", as well as "The Sadder but Wiser Girl" song, which I sing with the character Harold Hill.
Crofton Patch: What is your favorite show or musical you have ever seen or heard performed?
Paul: My favorite musical I've been in so far would either be this one (The Music Man) or The Pajama Game, which we did in 2011.

Crofton Patch: What do you like to do besides performing?
Paul: I also like to play the piano and draw.
Crofton Patch: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Paul: When I grow up I want to be a graphic designer. I still would like to do something in singing and acting as well.
