Quality Native Monarch Butterfly Plants and Plants for Pollinators including written instructions and talks on management of them in a garden Saturday April 25

Talks and plants on the Monarch butterfly and native plants and their pollinators will be in the parking lot of the Bowie Public library on Annapolis Road Route 450 in Bowie,

Over 30 types of native plants that benefit butterflies and pollinators will be available to purchase. Kit will include 11 plants in each and will have detailed instructions on how to raise both the plants and butterflies.

A kit will be avaiable specifically for monarchs and a differnent kit will feature plants to attract native pollinators year round. The kits with detailed instructions will be avaiable for 25 dolloars a kit.

Most of these plants have been developed by Mount Cuba in Delaware that specializes in selecting superior native plants for gardens. These plant are attractive and cannot be found at most commercial nurseries at any price.

These plants are idea for rain gardens with varieties for sandy and moist conditions. Care was taken in finding plants that will both atttract many rare native butterflies and pollinators, but will work in a normal flower garden.

A complete talk will be provided relating to each plant provided in the collections during formal programs at the sale. The written instructions will cover early care managent for these plants that once establised will benefit all for many years to come.

All procedes are recycled to support local community needs.
