REGISTRATION OPENS FOR THE PREGNANCY CLINICS' ANNUAL 5K WALK AND RUN
Family fundraising event supports clinics' free health services for women
The Pregnancy Clinics of Annapolis, Severna Park and Bowie are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Walk and Run for Life, a 5K-trail run and family fun walk. The event will be held on Saturday, September 19, from 8 am to 11:30 am at the historic Belvoir Scott Plantation in Crownsville, MD and will help raise funds to support the clinics’ free services for women and their families.
Registration for the 5K Run is $40. Each participating runner will receive a T-shirt, and souvenir running chip. There is no cost to walk in the event and with free activities for children such as moon-bounce, face painting and photo booth, there’s fun for the entire family. Teams are encouraged to join and strollers and pets on leashes are welcome. Awards will be given for male and female runners in adult and youth categories and prizes will be awarded to the top fundraisers.
“Last year we successfully raised more than $80,000 to support the essential funding needed to offer the clinics’ totally free services,” said Pamela Palumbo, Pregnancy Clinic CEO. “This year, we want to surpass our goal so that we may continue to make a positive life affirming difference in our communities.”
