Suspected Drunk Driver In Crofton Fatal Crash Indicted
A Clinton man has been charged with manslaughter for his role in a Crofton crash that killed two people last year.

CROFTON, MD — A Prince George's County man suspected of drunk driving was indicted on two counts of vehicular manslaughter for a February 2017 Crofton crash that killed two people. Reginald Donovan Dunn, 25, of Clinton, faces two felony charges in the deaths of Marcus Nicholas Spriggs, 26, of the 1900 block of Cambridge Drive in Crofton, and a passenger, Jasmine Lee Mastin, 25, of the 2000 block of Choptank Road in Middle River, authorities say.
The fatal crash happened Feb. 25 on northbound Crain Hwy (MD-3) and Wellfleet Lane in Crofton. A Dodge Charger driven by Dunn was northbound on Crain Highway when a 2012 Nissan Altima attempted cross Rt-3 and was struck in the passenger side door, then pushed into a tree and pole. Anne Arundel County Police say Dunn was treated then at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma for serious injuries.
The two occupants of the Altima — Spriggs, who was the driver, and Mastin — were declared dead at the scene. Police say speed and alcohol use by Dunn are suspected as contributing factors to the crash, but he was not charged with driving under the influence, the Capital-Gazette reports.
