Bowie Motorcyclist Dies In Gambrills Crash: Police
A Bowie motorcyclist was killed Thursday night in a Gambrills crash, Anne Arundel County Police said. The biker may have been speeding.

GAMBRILLS, MD — Authorities have released the name of a Bowie man who died Thursday when his motorcycle collided with an Odenton woman's minivan. The crash happened about 5:15 p.m. on northbound Route 3 (Crain Highway) at Carver Road, and lane closures kept traffic backed up in the area until about 9:30 p.m., according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Investigators say a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Stuart Livingstone Jr., 24, of the 6600 block of Molly Lane in Bowie, was northbound on MD-3 northbound when it was struck a Toyota minivan turning on MD-3. Livingstone was declared dead at the scene.
The other vehicle involved was a Toyota Sienna driven by April D. Hanson Quinn, 30, of the 400 block of Rita Drive in Odenton, who refused treatment for minor injuries. A passenger, Lisa P. Hanson, 59, of the 13600 block of Alderton Road in Silver Spring, also refused treatment for minor injuries.

A 1 1/2-year-old girl who was fastened in a car seat was taken by State Police helicopter to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center as a precaution with unknown injuries.
The primary cause of the crash is still under investigation, but police believe it was caused by excessive speed by the motorcyclist. It is unknown if alcohol is a contributing factor. Charges, if any, will be filed after review by the state’s attorney.
