7-Year-Old Hit by Car in Dundalk: Police

A boy was airlifted from Dundalk Tuesday after a vehicle hit him as he was crossing the street, police reported.

DUNDALK, MD – A 7-year-old boy was flown to Johns Hopkins Tuesday after being hit by a car, the Baltimore County Police Department reported.

Authorities said they responded to the 100 block of Ventnor Terrace, where the boy had been hit while crossing the street before 5 p.m.

The vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene, according to police.

The 7-year-old was flown by Maryland State Police medevac to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics, officials said.

He was seriously injured, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities said that it would take several weeks to investigate and determine what happened.
