Amazon Now Fulfilling Orders in Baltimore
The company's new fulfillment center opened where the General Motors plant used to be.

Amazon’s Fulfillment Center officially opened on the site of the former General Motors plant on Broening Highway this week.
Along with it come thousands of jobs and a system the company says will be more efficient in meeting the demands of customers.

The center that opened Thursday contains state-of-the-art robotic technology and will supply over 3,000 jobs to locals. It will ship out more than 1,000 packages a day.
