BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Officials confirmed Wednesday that a tornado touched down in Maryland during the severe weather that impacted the region on Monday.
The National Weather Service rated the tornado an EF-0 after it sustained an estimated maximum wind speed of 65 mph, adding that its path extended over 2 miles.
The tornado touched down at 4:39 p.m. in Baltimore City and made its way to Baltimore County's Dundalk area before evaporating at approximately 4:45 p.m.
With a path width of 90 yards, the NWS noted the system resulted in no deaths or injuries.

Video that appeared to show some circulation over the Patapsco River had previously surfaced online after Monday's storms.
The latest confirmation from the NWS comes after five tornadoes — three EF-1s and two EF-0s — were confirmed by authorities late last month.
Over the last several weeks, Maryland has seen several rounds of severe weather that prompted a range of alerts and warnings from forecasters.
