Battle Grove Democrats to Host Developer

Councilman John Olszewski Sr. and developer W. Dennis Gilligan are the scheduled speakers at Friday night's Battle Grove Democratic Club meeting, set to begin at 8 p.m. at the club hall, 7900 New Battle Grove Road.

Olszewski and Gilligan, the president and CEO of Craftsmen Developers, will discuss the Townes at North Point housing community planned for the former site of the North Point Drive-In Theater.

The Townes at North Point will consist of 108 garage townhouses on 10 acres at Old Battle Grove Road and North Point Boulevard, according to a statement from the developer. The community will include play areas and walking paths.

"They'll do a presentation of their plans," club President Tim Holland said of the meeting. "The public is invited to come, get information and ask questions."
