Follow-up: The suspect in the barricade situation in North Point Village surrendered to police, has been arrested and is facing charges.The incident ended without any injuries.The suspect's name has not been released. The suspect was barricaded in his home in the 7800 hundred block of of Battle Grove Road in North Point Village and was armed with a long rifle according to police sources close to the investigation. Police on the scene negotiated a peaceful settlement and the man surrendered without incident.The suspect was in the house alone and may have been suffering from emotional distress but this cannot be confirmed.The suspect fled inside after initially confronting police.
