Police Say Man Died In North Point Boulevard Crash

One driver died and another driver and youth were hospitalized from the crash in Dundalk Tuesday morning, police reported.

DUNDALK, MD β€” A man died and two others including a juvenile were injured in a crash in Dundalk Tuesday morning. The collision occurred in the area of North Point Boulevard at Kirkland Road.

Lloyd Wells Jr., 53, of the 4100 block of Beachwood Drive, was pronounced deceased at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, according to police.

Officials said that Wells was driving a 2002 Buick LeSabre on North Point Boulevard near Kirkland Road when at 10:52 a.m., his car hit another vehicle.

Both the Buick and the 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe that was struck left the road, according to police.

An adult driver and juvenile passenger from the Santa Fe were taken to an area hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, officials reported.

Wells was taken to Bayview, where he was pronounced deceased.

Baltimore County police said that investigators were continuing to determine what caused the collision.

Previous report: A crash in Dundalk is causing traffic issues on Tuesday morning. The collision occurred in the area of North Point Boulevard at Kirkland Road.

Two lanes on southbound North Point Boulevard were closed, State Highway Administration officials reported before 11:30 a.m.

The crash involved two vehicles at 11:05 a.m., officials said.

While North Point Boulevard was closed to drivers headed south, those in northbound lanes were not impacted.
