7 Injured In Dundalk Bus Crash: Police

A bus with nearly 30 students from Patapsco High School was involved in a crash Friday afternoon on North Point Boulevard, officials say.

DUNDALK, MD — A school bus filled with students from Patapsco High School crashed on North Point Boulevard at Trappe Road Friday afternoon, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. Five people from the bus and two people in the car were injured, police said.

At 2:43 p.m., police said a Dodge Stratus hit the middle part of a Baltimore County school bus on the driver's side. The bus had been transporting 27 students from Patapsco High School and had one bus assistant on board, officials reported.

Police said four students and the bus assistant were taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

The 25-year-old man driving the Stratus and the 26-year-old woman who was his passenger were trapped as a result of the crash; and once freed, were taken to an area hospital with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, officials said.

Police said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
